Hi guys,

I’m Luke and I’m an NFT addict.

It’s important to me that the Bumbling Bees separate themselves from the plethora of anonymous NFT projects that have been and will be released in recent times. To help achieve this, you’ll need to know a bit more about me.

Over 6 years ago, I quit my job to become a professional gambler. I was good at this and it suited my lifestyle down to the ground. I got to stay at home, keep my own schedule and made enough money that I could easily do whatever I wanted with my time. Life was good.

Fast forward to 2021 and COVID-19 had an unforeseen symptom of making the UK government crack down on casinos for fear of getting people addicted to gambling whilst locked down. This, along with a fierce dislike for how casinos operate, led to me looking for a change in ‘career’.

Fortunately, I’d been flirting with another partner for a little while at this point — NFTs.

My History in NFTs

I first got involved in the world of NFTs back in 2017 when a friend insisted that I start breeding jpegs of cats with him on the internet. Naturally, I thought this was ridiculous but jumped in with both feet anyway and CryptoKitties took over my life for a short period.

Sadly, I didn’t stick around in the space after this as I hadn’t fully grasped what NFTs and crypto currencies in general could achieve. Fortunately, the same friend insisted that I start buying basketball highlights with him a few years later and I was hooked.

Since then I’ve entered and left more projects than I can even remember. I’ve been a Bored Ape, a Hashmask and an owner of a Punks comic along with many many others. I’ve made great profits and I’ve sold for far too little. Great decisions and awful mistakes. I’ve flipped underpriced NFTs gleefully and I’ve been rugged helplessly.

Why Bumbling Bees?

The first reason I made the decision to start this project was so I could learn. Going into this I had a very small amount of coding skills and I could doodle passably. This meant I needed to learn every single aspect of the project from scratch. That began with learning how to use digital art platforms and layering, and then spread into web design, smart contracts, ethereum test nets, solidity and then further into social media management and discord moderation. There’s a steep learning curve to most of these subjects but that’s exciting for me. I have plans for the bees and beyond that will further hone these skills and require many more additional ones too I imagine.

Secondly, I’ve become a little disillusioned with the NFT world recently. Success of other projects have led to many copycat (in some cases, literally copied cats) projects and that gives the whole NFT world a bad name. A big part of what has frustrated me with certain projects are the unrealistic roadmap promises that entice new buyers to throw money at them only for the rug to be pulled out from underneath them. Bumbling Bees is a project that refuses to offer the world and not deliver.

So Why Should I Buy?

First off, the bees are cool. 0.02ETH for a cool bee and access to a great community of hive minded people is excellent value for money. Furthermore, just because we make no promises prior to release doesn’t mean I have no plans for this project.

One of my top goals is to provide value for my initial supporters (or early bee-lievers!) and the first step towards that will be a whitelist for early minting, with extra benefits (and a fancy new role in discord) for the first 100 to enter!

Bumbling Bees is just the beginning and the hive is open for all who want to join. I’ll be adding to these blog posts more and more as we build up to launch. I look forward to seeing you all in the hive soon!

Luke
